CANNECT: NEVER GET LOST AGAIN
Navigating Ontario's current transportation challenges can be a frustrating experience, given the existing connectivity issues. Hence, CANNECT is an all-inclusive application that aims to connect transit systems into one by making it more convenient for users to find, connect, and travel with ease.
The Problem
Ontario's transportation faced significant challenges, hindering seamless travel for its residents. The existing transit systems lacked cohesion, resulting in inconvenience and inefficiency for commuters. Recognizing this issue, CANNECT was conceived as an all-inclusive application aimed at bridging the gaps between various transit systems. The primary goal was to provide users with a convenient platform to effortlessly navigate, connect, and travel across multiple transit networks.
The Struggle
Thorough research into the challenges prevalent in public transportation unveiled a myriad of issues faced by commuters. These included disjointed schedules, limited connectivity between systems, and the absence of a unified information hub for travellers. Identifying these pain points was instrumental in shaping CANNECT's objectives and design approach. The struggle lay in devising effective solutions that addressed these challenges comprehensively while ensuring user-friendly functionality.
My Learnings
Collaborating within a team of five, our collective efforts centered on creating a prototype for the CANNECT application. This collaborative endeavor involved detailed discussions to identify and highlight the most pressing issues faced by commuters. Contributions were made towards outlining the app's features and functionalities, leveraging insights gained from extensive research and user feedback. This phase emphasized the significance of user-centric design and the crucial role of cohesive teamwork in developing a viable solution.

My Role
As a team member, my role extended beyond individual contributions. Delegating tasks, providing strategic insights into the application's business model, and pitching feature ideas to enhance user experience were integral aspects of my involvement. The focus was on refining the user interface, streamlining functionalities, and ensuring a seamless experience for users navigating through various transit systems.
